Information Event 2009

Model In Progress
On Saturday 7th March we held an open half-day at the Compendium Information Centre to give the community the opportunity to look at and comment on draft proposals for the new, permanent, public open space and park area planned for the scheme. The event gave residents chance to look at the ideas that have come out of the community consultation held in January & February. The centre piece of the event was a model made by members of the community of the ideas that came out of design workshops held as part of the consultation.Open Day

We received mainly positive feedback on the ideas on display from those people who attended the event. A plan based on these basic ideas has now been submitted for planning permission, and work will start on the new park area once planning permission has been granted.

Information Event 2008

The 2008 Open Day event was held on Saturday 21st June and was successful despite the awful weather! Residents had the opportunity to speak to relevant partners involved in the regeneration of their estate, The event also marked the opening of our latest show home which local people were able to take a look around.

Unfortunately, because of the rain all of the outdoor activities we had planned to for local children had to be cancelled. However this did not seem to spoil the fun indoors, and down at the Community Education Centre over 27 flower planters were made up and taken home by local kids.

On the day we also held a Charity Balloon Race to raise money for Cauldwell Children. The launch of 1000 balloons went ahead at 3pm, watched by dozens of on-lookers!
