Due to previous community decline the area has been identified as in need of regeneration. Both physical and community development will be taking place throughout the scheme. The redevelopment will take place in four phases.
Phase 1 was completed in Spring 2008 and all homes for sale on this phase have now been sold.
Phase 2 began in Spring 2008 and is nearly finished. The majority of the homes on this phase are now completed and occupied.
Phase 3 is due to commence in Spring 2010 for 74 units.
The Positives
The area has a number of positive attributes. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and the highly favoured private residential area of Caverswall. The Parkhall Country Park is also a few hundred yards from the estate.
In addition to this Weston Coyney Infant School has Beacon status, which attracts new families and helps retain existing ones.
